T9 - predictive typing system for mobile phones. The name comes from "Text on 9 keys", it means typing of only 9 buttons. T9 developed by "Tegic Communications", and is used to cellphones of most major manufacturers. Currently the most popular T9 predictive typing system. When typing T9 system tries to predict what word you are trying to dial using the built-in dictionary, the most used words are substituted first. This method of collection is much faster than usual, because it avoids the repeated clicks. T9 exposes only those words that contain as many letters as typed at the moment, and, in contrast to system of iTAP, the longer words are not predicts.
